It is a special platform for younger writers from different languages who have hardly any chances of exposure of their literary calibre. The programme consists of reading from the creative works, talks and exchanges.


The first programme was held with readings by Uday Prakash, N.S. Madhavan and Gita Hariharan on 26 November 1996.

  • On 20 September 2000, at Tirupur, C. R. Ravindran, Puvannan, V. T. Subramaniyan, Magudesvaran, Suriyabharathi, Covai Sathasivam, Bharathivasan, Dilip Kumar, Mohan, Subrabarathi Maniyan, Sirpi Balasubramaniam read their poems.
  • On 18 June 2000, at Chennai, Major Shanmugam, Phoenix, M. Swaminathan, M. Murukesh, R. Satish Sankar, Yuvabharathi, Nedunchezhiyan, Sa. Kandaswamy, Jaya-kanthan, Beer Mohamed read their poems.
  • On 29 November 1999 three poets Saratchandra Shenoi, Jossy Pinto and Nutan Sakardando read their poems at Kumta.
  • On 17 October 1999, an evening with young Sindhi poets was held at Raipur.
  • On 13 September, 1999 Anupam Kumar, Neelim Kumar and Anubhav Tulsi read their poems at New Delhi.
  • On 23 September 1998 three Poets-Kumar Ambuj, Bodhisatta and Neelesh Raghuvanshi read their poems at New Delhi.
  • On 20 August 1997, Regional Office Kolkata had its first programme of the Mulakat series with three Bengali fictionists of the post-Independence period—Bhagirath Misra, Nalini Bera and Subrata Mukhopadhyay.
  • On 7 May 1997 three Hindi poets-Viren Dangwal, Debi Prasad Mishra and Pramod Kaunswal read their poetry at New Delhi.
  • On 22 March 1997 three new voices in Urdu-Sheen Kaaf Nizam, Syed Muhammad Ashraf and Tarannum Riyaz participated in this programme at New Delhi.
